Williamsburg's Shota Omakase will be celebrating its one-year anniversary on Wednesday, August 14, and Thursday, August 15.
The Edomae-style omakase experience helmed by chef and owner Cheng Lin will feature an expanded celebratory menu for two nights, according to a press release.
The two-night menu will feature the regular 18-course menu, augmented by an additional sushi course and a dessert, as well as a sake- and wine-focused beverage pairing curated by Johnny Walker, the beverage director.
Shota Omakase specialties include a rare seven-year aged vinegar from Japan, two-year aged shoyu, meticulously selected Inochi No Ichi rice and fish sourced directly from fishermen in Japan, with an emphasis on marinating, curing and aging of the fish.
The 18-course experience is priced at $195 per person. Guests can book reservations here.
