The Brooklyn Children’s Museum (BCM) invites families to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month through a host of program offerings in May.
The free programs are led by special guests, highlighting the traditions of diverse AAPI cultures, according to a news release.
“In May, we celebrate the rich tapestry of our AAPI community, embracing their invaluable contributions to Brooklyn and our nation,” said Atiba T. Edwards, president and cheif executive officer of Brooklyn Children's Museum. “This year, we’re thrilled to enhance our AAPI Heritage offerings by presenting a full-month of programming including crafting dumplings, storytelling, practicing Mandarin and more.”
Programs will occur on Thursday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:00pm, during the Museum’s Amazon Free Hours. Tickets can be reserved in advance online, as well as at the museum on the day-of each event. RSVPs are recommended for each individual event.
