NYC DOT Launches "Curb Enthusiasm" Podcast

The podcast talks about the latest trends and innovations in transportation and urban planning.

Emily Weidenhof, the assistant commissioner of Public Realm at NYC DOT, is the host of the debut episode.

The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) announced the launch of "Curb Enthusiasm," a new podcast that provides listeners with insights into the latest trends and innovations in transportation and urban planning.

Spearheaded by NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez, the podcast will explore local, national, and international transportation issues, featuring prominent experts and policymakers, according to a press release. 

“The New York City Department of Transportation is proud to be an international leader in transportation, and our Curb Enthusiasm podcast provides a platform for guests to discuss what’s new, innovative, and exciting in the world of transportation and urban planning,” said Rodriguez. 

Emily Weidenhof and Natasha Bartley are the co-hosts of the debut episode. Weidenhof is the assistant commissioner of Public Realm at NYC DOT and boasts experience as an architect and urban designer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, including at the NYC Department of City Planning. 

Bartley, a director of administration for NYC DOT's Office of Livable Streets, oversees team development, budget management, and equity initiatives, with a focus on fostering an inclusive work environment.

The discussion, featuring U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) Deputy Secretary Polly Trottenberg, covers topics ranging from the department's role in addressing the climate crisis to reconnecting communities divided by urban highways.
