New York on Track to Pass Environmental Rights Ballot Proposal as Voting Changes Get Shot Down

Today, June 25, is primary day.

While early voting took place between June 15 and June 23, the regular primary election for federal, state and local offices takes place on June 25.

New Yorkers can weigh in on candidates for members of the House of Representatives; State Senate; State Assembly; Civil Court Judges; and State Committee/District Leaders.

To vote in the primaries in New York, voters must be registered as a Democrat or a Republican. Those who are unaffiliated or an Independent cannot vote today.

Brooklynites can find their polling locations by entering their address and zip code here. Polls are open from 6am to 9pm.

Most Congressional primary elections to watch are outside of Brooklyn, although one race of note in the borough is in Bedford Stuyvesant, where newcomer Eon Huntley, who is backed by the Democratic Socialists of America, is up against incumbent Assemblymember Stefani Zinerman.
