There were few surprises in the results of the primary election in Brooklyn, where incumbents won big.

That said, the race was closer than other Democrats for incumbent Stefani L. Zinerman, who won the primary by 479 votes against Eon Huntley for the Assembly seat for the 56th District covering portions of Bedford Stuyvesant and Crown Heights.

Zinerman, who had the support of New York Attorney General Letitia James and Hakeem Jeffries, Minority Leader of the U.S House of Representatives, received 52.77% of total votes. Huntley, who was backed by the Democratic Socialists of America, received 46.92% of the votes, according to the unofficial election night results by the New York City Board of Elections.

Other winners in the borough include Daniel Goldman (10th Congressional District); Kristen Gonzalez (9th State Senatorial District); Emily Gallagher (50th Assembly District); and Jo Anne Simon (52nd Assembly District).

Kalman Yaeger, a City Councilmember, won the Assembly seat for the 41st District.
