State Senator Kevin Parker hosted the 17th Annual Harvest Fest Back to School Celebration on Saturday, August 24.
Held at Paerdegat Park, the event provided a full day of engaging activities, essential resources, backpacks, school supplies and entertainment catered to families and individuals of all ages, according to a press release.
"Each year, the Harvest Fest Back to School Celebration grows stronger, bringing our community together in unity and support. It's incredibly rewarding to see so many families come out to prepare for the new school year, knowing that we're helping to equip our students with the tools and confidence they need to succeed," said Senator Parker.
The celebration distributed essential school supplies, hosted interactive health workshops and showcased lively performances. Families enjoyed various activities, including entertaining games, community resource booths and a variety of food options, the press release said.
