Police Investigate Theft of Rolex Watch Allegedly by UPS Employee

Police have not made any arrests yet. An investigation is ongoing.

A UPS employee allegedly stole a Rolex watch from a customer who believed the item had been shipped from the Brooklyn Heights UPS store, according to the police. The 40-year-old victim reported that he recently sold his Rolex Submariner watch worth $9,500 on eBay, and went to the UPS facility at 137 Montague Street on Dec. 22 to ship the item to an eBay authentication center in Ohio. According to the police, the man left the facility with a tracking number that afternoon, but became concerned when he was unable to trace the item online the following week.
