A man tried to walk out of Macy’s in Downtown Brooklyn with $1.5 million worth of jewelry but was unsuccessful. Police said the attempted heist occurred Monday night, when the suspect allegedly placed the jewelry into a suitcase and attempted to leave the store. An employee confronted the man, causing him to abandon the suitcase and flee the scene. “I can’t believe it – $1 million,” one witness said.
