Is this an augur for what's to come in brownstone pricing? Our guess is "yes," and it's only going to get worse.

Whether you're financially struggling, working-class or middle-class, the Brooklyn brownstone housing market "ain't got time for that!"

Located at 96 Fort Greene Place, this landmarked brownstone is asking $2.8 million. Built in 1857, the Italianate house has lots of nice details, including sculpted marble mantles, ceiling moldings and medallions, floor-to-ceiling paned windows, original shutters and doors, and 11' ceilings. The backyard also has a garden pond and a delightful treehouse, perfect for any young rapscallions in your charge.

Also, at 26 So. Portland in Fort Greene, this gorgeous five-story brownstone is asking$3.45 million.
