Wells Fargo employees were joined by State Senator Jabari Brisport and local leaders from the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce on Dec. 11, to celebrate the grand opening of its first branch in Brooklyn.
The new location, at 3 Flushing Ave. in Brooklyn Navy Yard, is part of Wells Fargo’s expansion across New York City and Long Island, according to a press release.
The Brooklyn Navy Yard branch features Wells Fargo’s highly anticipated new design that includes a multi-sensory environment with sound and lighting, informative messaging displays, and a floorplan to create more space for conversation and consultation. The branch is also designed and built to the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards.
“We are so excited to open our first branch in Brooklyn,” said Silvia Lara, district branch network senior manager at Wells Fargo. “Our expansion across New York continues with this monumental occasion for Wells Fargo as we continue to offer more resources to our customers across the state.”
During the event, Wells Fargo awarded a $50,000 grant to the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce in support of Brooklyn Made, which provides unique goods crafted by Brooklyn-based artisans.
