On Friday, November 7, 7:00pm at the Kumble Theatre for Performing Arts, the " Stars of New York Dance" will return for its fifth year!
Errol Louis, political anchor and host of "Inside City Hall" on NY 1 News, returns for a fourth year as the host and the Rev. Al Sharpton, founder and president of the National Action Network, will be honored at this year's thrilling dance-off and fundraiser. Before the actual competition, the chosen "dancing stars" of New York undergo weeks of rigorous dance training with a professional dance partner to prepare a three-minute routine. Six couples will compete to win a $5,000 Access Award grand prize, which they will donate to a local children's arts organization of their choice.

This year's "dancing stars" include City Councilmember Laurie Cumbo; Tony Herbert, vice president of The African American International Chamber of Commerce; Rev. Shaun J. Lee, pastor of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church; and Sheena Wright, CEO of United Way of New York.
There will be special presentations by Nicole Paultre Bell, president of When It's Real, It's Forever Organization, Kings County District Attorney Kenneth P. Thompson, Public Relations Guru Terrie Williams and Rev. Dr. Johnny Ray Youngblood of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
