The new courts range in size from 36-feet for the youngest beginner to full-sized courts for seasoned players.

A new indoor tennis and pickleball club is opening in downtown Brooklyn.

“Brooklyn is where our heart beats, and we are thrilled to be opening Court 16 at City Point, a lifestyle destination,” said Anthony Evrard, co-founder and CEO of Court 16.

Court 16, a private tennis club, is opening a 26,000-square-foot venue on the fourth floor of the City Point development, which is located at 445 Albee Square West.

“Court 16 is a win-win for City Point and our growing community. With Abolitionist Park opening this fall, downtown Brooklyn is becoming even more of a shopping and entertainment destination. Integrating sport and lifestyle, Court 16 is the perfect addition to our urban town square, joining recently announced openings including Fogo de Chão and DIG,” said Paul Travis, president of Washington Square Partners, and co-partner at City Point.

The venue will offer seven courts, ranging in size from 36 feet for the youngest beginner to full-sized courts for seasoned players.

The venue also includes a contemporary lounge furnished with Ligne Roset lounge sets. The club will also offer the Babolat product line of racquets.

“Our biggest venue yet, the new flagship joins thriving locations in Long Island City and the Financial District. It will further our USTA-sanctioned approach of teaching racquet sports on courts, which increase in size as athletes graduate to higher levels,” Evard said.

A grand opening event will be held on Aug. 28 to celebrate the new facility.

The new courts feature a modern design for an elevated racquet sports experience. The venue welcomes players of all ages and skill levels.

Enrollment for the fall season at the new City Point location is now open for the kids’ academy, adult tennis classes and pickleball programming. For more information, click here
