Dr. Christopher Kaufman's "Phantastic Theater" is premiering in Brooklyn!

And what a treat this will be!

Screen Shot 2016-02-19 at 2.08.04 PMDr. Kaufman's Phantastic Theater's presentations introduce young people to the transformative power of imagination AND remind adults of the time when they first experienced the arts. The centerpieces for his theatre productions are based in his formative works, 'The Musical Forest' and 'The Phantastic Zoo'. Dr. Kaufman also leads workshops based on these works.

Part of the Composers Now Festival, The Phantastic Theater will make its debut performance on Saturday, February 27, at the Commons Community Center and Cafe in Downtown Brooklyn.

Designed as a full-family experience, his 'transmedia' performances will include live music, full orchestral music flowing through speakers, projected illustrative art and text, voice acting and dance.  Our shows educate as well as entertain.

The Phantastic Zoo features world-class flutist Robert Dick, the voice talents of actor for stage and tv Stephanie Erb, young artist Sofia Rose (dancer), colorful illustrative art, 'giant art puppets' and gorgeous orchestral music pouring over speakers throughout in a theatrical setting.
