Coney Island Ritual Cabaret Returns With Performances on Resistance And Defiance

The festival builds on ICL’s history of politically-charged performance, as the organization has long explored themes of social upheaval and rebellion. 

 

“Facts and statistics have never convinced anyone of anything, especially in this era of 'alternative facts,'" said co-artistic director Gabriele Schafer. "It comes down [to] who tells the better story—and that's where artists come in."
