The MvVO ART/AD ART SHOW will showcase the work of artists from the advertising world this month.

The worlds of fine art and advertising are set to collide this month as the annual Ad Art Show will be taking place in Brooklyn on Oct. 15-16.

Created by MvVO ART, a New York-based venture that specializes in innovative art, the Ad Art Show serves as a showcase for several fine artists that have emerged from the advertising realm, following in the footsteps of such acclaimed commercial artists as Andy Warhol and Edward Hopper.

According to MvVO ART, the AD ART SHOW was established with the goal of “bridging the artistic disciplines of fine art and advertising,” and celebrating the artists in that particular sector that offer “a new lens by which to appreciate their practice.”

“The bridge between art and advertising has been both historical and impactful. At Ad Art Show 2023, we're unveiling the next wave of artists poised to leave their mark,” said Maria van Vlodrop, founder of MvVO ART/Ad Art Show.

This year’s advertisement-focused art show is set to take place at Powerhouse Arts, a Brooklyn nonprofit that is committed to supporting creative expression.

Throughout the organization’s history, Powerhouse Arts has worked with numerous art professionals and educators to “co-create and share artistic practices vital to the wellbeing of artists and the communities to which they belong,” according to a release.

"Our collaboration with MvVO ART embodies the dynamism of the contemporary art scene and the sophistication with which artists can apply their artistic viewpoint to various audiences and markets,” said Eric Shiner, Powerhouse Arts’ president. “Powerhouse Arts is thrilled to be part of this celebration of emerging talent and the connoisseurship of broad definitions of art."

As part of the event, one standout artist will be selected as the recipient of the Clio Award, an esteemed honor that recognizes innovation and creative excellence in advertising.

In addition, the top ten artists picked at the event will have their work showcased on billboards throughout the U.S., with the top three having their art displayed in Times Square.

The art show will be available to view on Oct. 15 from 11:00am-7:00pm, with a VIP reception taking place the next day (Oct. 16) from 6:00pm-10:00pm.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online at the MvVO ART/ Ad Art Show website.
