New Health Hub Brings Primary and Specialty Care to East NY

The 75,000-square-foot center also provides East Brooklynites with an array of wellness and social programs

A new a 75,000-square-foot health hub opened its doors on Wednesday in East New York. 

The new state-of-the-art facility is owned and operated by nonprofit health insurer EmblemHealth and its affiliated medical group, AdvantageCare Physicians, and will provide primary care as well as a range of specialty services including cardiology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, optometry, podiatry and rheumatology, alongside laboratory testing and radiology.

In addition to its clinical services, the hub will also be home to an array of health, wellness and social services provided by EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care and Cityblock Health, representatives said.

Elected officials including State Senators Julia Salazar and Roxanne Persaud, as well as Council Members Alicka Amply-Samuel and Rafael Espinal joined Emblem Health President and CEO Karen Ignagni, and ACPNY President and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Navarra Rodriguez for a celebratory ribbon cutting. 

"At AdvantageCare Physicians, we focus on caring for the 'whole you' by treating the physical, mental and lifestyle aspects of a person's health, and we now have a space in East New York that can help members of a community that need it most," said Dr. Rodriguez.

The East New York health center is accepting patients now. Located at 101 Pennsylvania Ave, the hub is open for business Monday through Thursday, from 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. For more information, go here.
