Sen. Iwen Chu Comments Following Alleged Attack to Her District Office

On Friday morning, an individual allegedly tossed a cluster of bricks through one of the windows of Sen. Chu's district office in Brooklyn.

New York State Sen. Iwen Chu has made a statement following an incident in which an individual allegedly attacked her district office in Brooklyn.

According to Chu, on the morning of July 14, a man allegedly tossed a cluster of bricks through one of the windows at her district office.

Chu said that nobody was harmed during the incident, and that luckily no constituents were inhabiting the office's waiting room that is nearby where the window sits.  Chu represent the 17th Senate District in Albany, which covers parts of Bay Ridge, Sunset Park, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Kensington.

"This is an inexcusable act of violence and cannot be tolerated in any aspect of life," said Chu in a statement. "This is not just an attack on my office but everyone we serve."

Chu said that she will be working with the New York Police Department to try and catch the individual responsible for the alleged attack and destruction of property.
