The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will host its ninth annual House Party on Thursday, Nov. 7, a lively post-election event with over 30 musical acts.
The party aims to ease the tension of the hotly contested November election and provide Brooklyn residents with a sense of community, according to a press release.
Musical acts includ Alicia & Michael Olatuja, Tonewall of NYC Gay Men’s Chorus, Sugartone Brass Band, Cole Quest & The City Pickers, Nikara Warren and Wayne Tucker. There will be five floors of entertainment and an open-air main stage, all supporting music education and therapy programs across New York City.
“We can’t predict the results of this election, but no matter what, we’ll be together,” said Chad Cooper, the executive director of the conservatory. “Whether hopeful, anxious, or just needing a joyful escape, we invite Brooklynites to experience some great live music, surrounded by friends and neighbors."
With proceeds supporting music education and therapy programs, HOUSE PARTY is the Conservatory’s biggest annual fundraiser. The event offers unique experiences on each floor, including a “Viva Las Vegas” casino room, Dueling Pianos, Silent Disco, and “Dumplings of the World,” along with local Brooklyn eats and themed cocktails.
“HOUSE PARTY is Brooklyn’s favorite party—and one we can all agree on,” said Cooper.
The main event begins at 7:00pm at the conservatory, located at 58 Seventh Ave. in Park Slope. Get tickets here.
