The Mo Better Jaguars, a youth football team from Brownsville, was honored by House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries following its undefeated championship season in the 2024 Pop Warner 9-and-under National Championship.
The Jaguars, whose motto is "never ran, never will," capped off a perfect 12-0 season without allowing a single touchdown before the Super Bowl. Their resilience and skill earned them a trip to the Pop Warner Super Bowl in Florida, where they secured the national title.

Jeffries also thanked Brooklynites, including the owner of the iconic Junior’s restaurant, for their support in ensuring the team could travel to Florida and compete at the highest level, he said.
"What a show the put on," Jeffries said, welcoming the team to Congress.
The team raised over $35,000 with the help of local media, which supported their travel to the tournament.
