Brooklyn Waldorf School (BWS) will host its annual Winter Fair, a family-friendly event, on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The event, from 11:00am to 5:00pm, is free and open to the public, according to a press release.
Visitors to the Winter Fair will enjoy activities, including candle-making, plant-dyeing, puppet shows, live music and handmade wooden games. More than 24 artisan vendors will also be selling handmade holiday gifts.
“Many cultures have ‘festivals of light’ at this time of year, as the days grow shorter,” said Dr. Linda Ogden-Wolgemuth, Faculty Administrator at BWS. “Winter Fair is in that tradition of celebrating the light, despite the darker days.”
BWS, at 11 Jefferson Ave., is an independent, coeducational school offering a Waldorf curriculum focused on imagination, integrity, hard work, kindness, personal and social responsibility and mutual respect.
