Brooklyn Org is a champion for Brooklyn bringing together community changemakers to be a new model for local philanthropy in pursuit of a more equitable and just borough. The organization announced Nicole G. Epps has joined the organization as Chief Operating and Financial Officer.
Epps will play a key role in executing Brooklyn Org’s new strategic plan to mobilize people and resources to end inequity and injustice in Brooklyn. Brooklyn Org, formerly the Brooklyn Community Foundation, announced its relaunch last month.
“Nicole is a dynamic leader with deep experience in strengthening nonprofit organizations in order to meet their missions," Dr. Jocelynne Rainey, President and CEO of Brooklyn Org said. "We are so fortunate to have her joining our team and helping us execute on the bold, new vision of Brooklyn Org as an innovator and changemaker in philanthropy.”
Epps is a Brooklyn native with more than a decade of leadership experience in strategy and management in the philanthropic and nonprofit sector. Previously, she was the Chief of Staff at the Osborne Association and Executive Director of the World Childhood Foundation-USA. Epps has also held top leadership positions at Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) in New Jersey and at Safe Horizon.
