Life of Hope, a nonprofit organization serving youth, immigrant and at-need families in central Brooklyn, secured a new permanent site in Flatbush.
The new location, at 4123 Avenue D, will centralize the organization’s administrative functions and offer community-focused programming, including health and wellness, immigrant support and community development, according to a news release.
Life of Hope has served more than 65,000 community members and is one of only a few city organizations focused on serving the Haitian diaspora.
The new location will become Life of Hope's headquarters and the organization will move from their current location likely in the summer of 2025.
“The acquisition of this new building is not just a real estate transaction. It is the beginning of a transformative chapter for our organization and the entire community,” said Porez Luxama, founder and executive director of Life of Hope.
Senator Chuck Schumer provided $1.5 million to the nonprofit so it could purchase a new building, according to a press release.
