More than 8,000 spectators packed the stands on March 14 - 16 for Battle in the Apple 2025, a high-energy showcase of step teams, majorettes, drumlines and dance crews from across the tri-state area.
Featuring 1,400 student performers, the event highlighted the best in youth talent and artistic expression, according to a press release.
Battle in the Apple is an extension of Brooklyn United Music and Arts, which provides young artists with a platform to develop their skills, discipline and teamwork. The annual event celebrates culture, community and creativity, drawing thousands of attendees each year.
In the majorette division, the DREAM Dance Team dominated the competition, winning in four categories.
On Your Toes and the Dancing Divas of Bristol also made strong showings, securing top placements in various divisions.
Brooklyn Royal Diamonds impressed in Majorette 2, securing wins in multiple categories, including field show, mini stands and both junior and senior stands. Other standout performers included UMDC and Bronx Gems, who excelled in the combined creative category.
Step teams delivered electrifying performances, with standout routines from RAC Steppers, Bronx Gems, Step Royalty, Catastrophic Discretion, Creme De La, Xclusive, Revolution, DREAM and On Your Toes.
