Congressman Hakeem Jeffries with leading health experts and local elected officials will moderate a free health panel breakfast and town hall meeting hosted by Healthfirst on Saturday, July 12, from 8:00am-11:30am at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza, 1368 Fulton Street in Brooklyn.
The breakfast will bring together the community to share healthy tips, inspire and connect with each other and will also serve as the kickoff for the Healthfirst Health & Wellness Expo-- a free health fair open to the public from 11:00am-5:00pm in the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza courtyard.
The health expo will address diabetes and mental health awareness at the Health and Wellness Pavilion outside, with prominent medical experts on hand to provide the latest findings, answer questions and conduct free health screenings.
Also on-hand at the expo will be massage therapists, manicures/pedicures, cooking demonstrations and fitness workshops. The Kids Zone will feature face painting and entertainers from the New York Aquarium, Prospect Park Zoo and the Brooklyn Museum.
