Pro-Palestinian protesters blocked the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges, along with the Holland Tunnel, on Monday morning causing traffic delays, the police said.
Protesters were on the bridges and tunnel at 9:40 a.m., according to John Chell, the New York Police Department's Chief of Patrol. By 11:15, the NYPD were able to clear the locations and made 325 arrests along with officials from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, he said on X.
The protests were led by several groups, including the Palestinian Youth Movement, Jewish Voice for Peace and the Palestine Right to Return Coalition, according to the Gothamist.
