Check out these photos from Brooklyn's annual West Indian American Day Parade on Monday, September 4, which was celebrating its 50th year anniversary!
Colorful Caribbean floats representing the countries of Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad, Guyana and more moved down the 2-mile route of Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, while revelers played music and danced to the sounds of reggae, calypso and kompa. The parade, which started at 11:00am, attracted close to 2 million people. It concluded at Flatbush Avenue at around 6:00pm.
