On Saturday, thousands of Brooklyn residents packed the grassy knolls of The Peninsula in Prospect Park to take part in this year's installment of The Soiree!
Oh, you didn't know about The Soiree? Well, it's only one of the most celebrated outdoor parties of the year where the who's-who of hats and haute couture gather to dine and dance!
This year's event might have been the biggest yet. The sold-out evening boasted participants from all over the borough who gathered to don their most dapper digs and showcase their most creative caps to an afternoon of revelry that turned to sunset and then an evening under the stars!
Brooklynites prepared their own meals and set their own table décor to raise their glasses in a toast to Brooklyn's Backyard.
Hosted by the Prospect Park Alliance, this year's Soiree introduced the first Soiree Style & Entertaining Awards presented by City Point. The most creative tables based on food, table decor, park inspiration and style won a gift certificate to one of the City Point stores!
The evening off with a live set of the retro 60's flavored soul stylings of Ernest Ernie & The Sincerities, followed by a DJ dance party with DJ Cosmo Baker.
