Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the gunman responsible for shooting and killing a Crown Heights man Sunday on the corner of Utica Avenue.
According to police, on October 12, at around 12:00noon, a man was shot and killed near the corner of Utica Ave and Union St. by a masked individual who exited a vehicle, walked up to the victim from behind and fired a shot into the back of the victim's head. The shooter then jumped into his car and fled the scene.
Currently, police are investigating the motive for the crime, but according to police, the victim has a criminal history and appears to have been targeted.
