With Thanksgiving just around the corner, itâs time to start pulling out those winter recipes and getting ready for a day of gravy and tight waist belts.
After last year's celebrations were limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, family get togethers are once again on the menu for many thanks to COVID-19 vaccines, and organizations across Brooklyn want to make sure no Brooklyn families miss out on a full traditional meal.
Here are 9 giveaways happening this week across our Brooklyn neighborhoods:

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens will distribute turkeys tomorrow in Flatbush to support families during Thanksgiving. Recipients are required to wear a mask, be prepared to social distance, be prepared to wait outside, and bring a shopping cart for the distribution. Turkeys will be served on a first come first served basis to those who have tickets.
