The affordable housing lottery for an apartment building in Coney Island is now open.
Located at 2925 W.16th Street, the apartment called 1515 Surf Avenue will have 139 affordable apartments available for families consisting of one to five people. The majority of the units are one-bedroom, starting with a rent of $1,640 per month, according to the NYC Housing Connect website.
The building includes a concierge, package lockers, children’s playroom, co-working lounge, communal outdoor balcony seating, outdoor courtyard with grilling stations, game room, loft lounge, and a media library. The usage of the basketball/hand ball court and exercise room will require an additional fee.
There is a preference for residents of Brooklyn Community Board 13. The lottery is open until March 20.
