Almost exactly two years after Deputy Inspector Scott Henderson was appointed Commanding Officer of Bed-Stuy's 81st precinct (March 2014), the precinct is announcing that Henderson will be promoted to the position of Full Inspector.
His promotion will take place this Tuesday March 29, 2016 11am at One Police Plaza.
Deputy Inspector Scott Henderson was appointed to the New York City Police Department in June 1995, and began his career on patrol in the 79th Precinct.
He was promoted to Detective Specialist June 1999; Sergeant in August 2000; Lieutenant in November 2003; Captain in March 2007; and Deputy Inspector in October 2012.
Deputy Inspector Henderson has served in the 32, 83, 81, 75, and 88 Precincts; as well as PSA 3, Internal Affairs Bureau, School Safety Division, and Patrol Borough Brooklyn North.
Deputy Inspector Henderson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baruch College/City University of New York and a Master's Degree from Marist College.
