Two pieces this week... Both are about animals, and the message is that animals are an important part of who we are. They reflect the parts of ourselves that don't use language as we know it... That is, words.
Two pieces this week... Both are about animals, and the message is that animals are an important part of who we are. They reflect the parts of ourselves that don't use language as we know it... That is, words. But they are an intrinsic part of the health of our consciousness, like oxygen and water is to our bodies. Enjoy!
I've learned so much in the past few years about animals. One thing that truly surprised me was learning that there still are herds of wild horses in many locations around the world, including the American Mid-West. Sadly these beautiful animals are being wiped out for a variety of reasons.
I had the honor of being one of twelve artists to create a piece of art for a calendar to benefit Hillside Animal Sanctuary in Norwich, UK, and I chose to illustrate the quintessential American wild horse, the Mustang. Wildness matters. On the planet, and in our hearts.
Ha ha ha! This image is a little more playful! I call it "Talking Dog Is Talking!" And he "Ruvs Rou!" Have you seen those videos of people asking their pets if they love them, and the dog or cat answers them with this!? "Ri Ruv Rou!" Try talking to your pet, or any animal! You will be happily surprised by how they respond! They "Ruv Rou!"
Hey! Btw, now is a good time to order a portrait of your pet or a loved one's pet for the holidays! You can see more examples of dog paintings I've done here.
