The North Face Climb Festival will be held for the first time in New York and invites climbing enthusiasts to test their skills by taking on identical routes on a 55-foot wall, with only deep water to break their fall.
Highlights of the event include panel discussions on the culture of climb and building outdoor communities, food trucks by local restaurants, guest bouldering walls hosted by Movement Gyms, an artist integration by Snoeman, DJ sets curated by The Lot Radio featuring Las Flaquitas, Eden, Toribio, Cosmo and a surprise headliner set by Brazilian DJ Beltran presented by culture-driven experiential producer, Renegade.
The first panel on The Culture of Climb will take place at 12:15 p.m., is moderated by Alex Honnold with panelists: Climbing legend Chris Sharma, The North Face athlete Sam Elias, and expert climber Robyn Ragins and Mario Stanley. The second panel, on building outdoor communities will take place at 2:15 p.m., is moderated by Hood Hikers founder Jasmine Guadalupe with panelists: Bridge Runners founder Mike Saes, Brown Girls Climb founder Brittany Leavitt, and athlete Angie Chavez.
The North Face Climb Festival takes place Saturday August 24th, 2024 at Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 5. The event is free, no tickets are required.
