Two Crown Heights residents were injured in an apartment building fire on Sunday night, one of three blazes in the area within a 12-hour span. Firefighters responded to 921 Montgomery St. just after 7:15 p.m. on Nov. 3, where they found heavy flames emanating from a first-floor apartment. First responders with Ladder Company 123 guided several residents out of the building through thick smoke. Members briefly overcame a car blocking a hydrant, and 60 firefighters from 12 units stretched two hose lines into operation to extinguish the main body of the blaze.
