Firefighters responded to 921 Montgomery St. just after 7:15pm on Nov. 3, where they found heavy flames

Two Crown Heights residents were injured in an apartment building fire on Sunday night, one of three blazes in the area within a 12-hour span. Firefighters responded to 921 Montgomery St. just after 7:15pm on Nov. 3, where they found heavy flames emanating from a first-floor apartment. First responders with Ladder Company 123 guided several residents out of the building through thick smoke. Members briefly overcame a car blocking a hydrant, and 60 firefighters from 12 units stretched two hose lines into operation to extinguish the main body of the blaze.
