New York City will reduce the number of driving lanes and add protected bike lanes on a portion of McGuinness Boulevard in Brooklyn as part of a redesign plan to make the road safer. The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) announced Wednesday it will move forward with plans this fall to install parking-protected bicycle lanes on McGuinness Boulevard from Calyer Street to Meeker Avenue in Greenpoint.
