Federal prosecutors say that nine inmates were charged Monday for a string of violent attacks and murders that took place in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. According to authorities, the inmates orchestrated attempted murders, assaults and the murders of Uriel Whyte in June and of Edwin Cordero in July. Both victims were stabbed during disputes with the accused inmates. MDC Brooklyn is currently where P. Diddy is detained on federal sex trafficking and racketeering.
