Cops arrested a 30-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted a clerk who confronted him about shoplifting a $4 cookie on Valentine’s Day. The clerk at Fresh Start Market Place on Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights said he observed the alleged suspect attempting to leave the store at around 3:30 pm on Feb. 14, without paying for an Ulker Choco Sandwich that he had placed in his bag.
