An 83-year-old woman who was fatally struck by a truck driver last Wednesday was mourned by members of the Gowanus community and loved ones on Monday. The woman, Carolyn J. Cox, was known by many in her community as Ms. Joy. They came together on Monday night at the intersection where she was struck - Butler and Bond Streets - to mourn the tragic loss.
