FDNY Puts Out Electrical Fire at Ditmas Avenue Subway

An electrical fire at the Ditmas Avenue subway station on the border of Borough Park and Kensington was brought under control around 4:15pm, the FDNY says.
An electrical fire at the Ditmas Avenue F subway station on the border of Borough Park and Kensington was brought under control around 4:15pm, the FDNY says. It was first reported around 12:05pm. Witnesses say the fire broke out on the tracks and was raining down on the cars below. They said it was quite a hectic scene. “I’ve never seen anything like it – like a fire rain,” said witness Dwayne, who works at a nearby warehouse.
