A GoFundMe popped up three days ago after a fire at Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii during Easter service this past Sunday - but the donation page turned out to be a scam. The Diocese found out about the GoFundMe page, started to put the word out that it was a scam, before it was taken down. A spokesperson from GoFundMe told News 12 that it has zero tolerance for the misuse of the platform. Father Vincenzo Cardilicchia said the GoFundMe isn’t the only scam attempt.
