A Crown Heights man is facing second-degree assault and aggravated menacing charges after attacking a man in a wheelchair as he was taking his dogs for a walk on March 29. The victim, Troy McLeod, said the dispute began when 30-year-old Levi Kabakov believed McLeod's two dogs were bothering his children, and demanding McLeod cross the street, which he did. Police say Kabakov struck McLeod with a wooden block and a bench from his yard, before pushing him out of his chair, despite efforts from onlookers to deescalate.
