Corn Snake Bites Man in Midwood

Police and animal control responded and identified the snake.

Half-awake and hardly believing what was happening, a Brooklyn man found a 2-foot corn snake in his bathtub. Steve Nahama, a Midwood resident, told PIX11 News how he tried to grab it with a pari of scissors and flush it down the toilet. The snake jumped away and lightly bit his hand, just barely breaking the skin. The terrified man didn’t realize it at the time but corn snakes are not venomous — in fact, they are generally seen as beneficial to humans because they hunt small rodents that damage crops and spread disease. Police and animal control responded and identified the snake. Click here to read more on pix11.com.
