Bushwick Hit-And-Run Leaves One Woman Dead, One Injured

The police are searching for the suspect who had a ponytail and wore a blue shirt and jeans.

Police are searching for the driver of a blue Mazda CX5 that struck two women in Bushwick, killing one of them. According to the NYPD, the incident took place just after 5pm at the corner of Elder Street and Knickerbocker Avenue. They said a 71-year-old woman was struck and killed. A 44-year-old woman was also struck and is expected to be OK. The operator of the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Elder Street and fled on foot, leaving the vehicle at the scene.
