A woman was pushed onto the subway tracks at the Jefferson Street station in Bushwick Thursday morning, police said. The 62-year-old victim told PIX11 News she was waiting on the platform a little before 6:00am when she was approached by a man asking for a lighter. The victim said she gave the stranger a lighter, but the two exchanged words. The man then punched her in the face and pushed her onto the subway tracks, police said. A fellow commuter immediately jumped in to help and pulled the woman back onto the platform, police said. Click here to read more on Pix11.com.
