A 4-year-old boy has died after being rushed to the hospital from a family shelter in East Flatbush. Police say they responded to a 911 call for a child in distress at 4612 Glenwood Rd. just after 8:00am on Tuesday. The boy was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition but later pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet determined what caused the child's death.
