Police say a body washed ashore at the Brooklyn ferry terminal in DUMBO on Tuesday. They received a call about a man’s body floating in the water around 6:45am. The body was taken out of the water and lifesaving measures were performed. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Witnesses say the body had a life preserver on upon discovery. Police sources told News 12 that the body also had a prosthetic leg. The medical examiner’s office is now working to determine the cause of death. Click here to read more on brooklyn.news12.com.
