Two children were recovering in the hospital Wednesday morning after being struck by the driver of a minivan in Bensonhurst, police said. The children, a 13-year-old girl and 12-year-old boy, were struck by the driver of a Nissan minivan shortly after 8 a.m. near the intersection of 62nd Street and 16th Avenue, police department sources said. The driver behind the wheel of the minivan was traveling eastbound on 62nd Street when the incident occurred, an NYPD spokesperson confirmed.
