A Bay Ridge cannabis dispensary opened its doors for a soft launch after months of opposition from residents. Kaya Bliss was open on Tuesday from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. “We had a rush of people the first hour,” said Edgar Kleydman, CEO of Kaya Bliss. “I think you have your protesters, and I think you have three to four times as many people who want us here.” The soft launch was a stark contrast to over the summer when Bay Ridge residents organized protests against the dispensary, citing concerns about its proximity to schools and houses of worship.
