A fire ripped through a building in East New York overnight leaving visible damage on the sidewalk and broken windows. It happened on New Jersey and New Lots avenues. Fire officials say the call for the fire came in before midnight. The fire started on the first floor and was under control by 1:47 a.m. Sixty firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the fire.
