Hosted by Brooklyn Conservatory of Music Director of DEI Uton Onyejekwe, "Connection & Harmony: A Sing-Along Celebration of Black Musical Ideas" will allow children to explore the influence of prominent Black musicians and civil rights leaders in American history through song, dance and video. The event will highlight how deeply Black artists have taken popular stories, songs, and even classroom concepts and creatively reimagined them. The day will also celebrate various musical genres of the Black American tradition, from jazz to R&B to hip hop.

This February, Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership will present Myrtle Avenue Restaurant Week 2023 with nine participating restaurants all located on Myrtle Avenue, crossing through Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.
Diners are encouraged to experience diverse cuisine from local staples like Putnam’s Pub and the critically-acclaimed Casa Nono, to brand-new eateries like Lula Mae and photo-worthy restaurants including Glin Thai Bistro. B’klyn Burro, the Clinton Hill Brooklyn-based Taqueria, specializing in Mission burritos, will celebrate its tenth anniversary at The Holler, a neighborhood watering hole with frozen drinks, a pinball machine and a jukebox in Bed-Stuy. The Holler is where the B’klyn Burro brand began in 2013 when Pepe Urquijo jump-started a series of pop-ups before opening a brick-and-mortar shop. The event will feature the original pop-up menu that B’klyn Burro served ten years ago: Mission Burritos, Tacos and Quesadillas.
For the uninitiated, the Mission Burrito comes with Mexican rice, choice of beans, pico de gallo, Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, and fresh avocado served tightly wrapped in aluminum foil, which is pulled down bite by bite and adorned with salsa.
